Drinking with a conscience? How even the drinks you choose at your event can have a positive impact.
More and more we see a social conscience element being incorporated into our events. Whether it’s concern over proper recycling, the use of sustainable suppliers, an emphasis on local food or charity donations in lieu of favors and gift bags.
But what about the drink in your hand?
Well thankfully we have found two fantastic producers who can help quench your thirst for doing good while…quenching your thirst.
With the aim of leaving the world better than how they found it the team at Choose have developed an ethical and sustainable solution to bottled water. 100% of the profits from Choose go straight back to their charity partner Water for Africa and they are aiming to become a plastic neutral company with their glass bottles already containing a minimum of 50% recycled glass. A bottle of Choose on the table or in a delegate’s lunch is a great talking point for private and corporate clients.
Brewgooder is the craft beer brand on a mission to bring 1,000,000 people clean drinking water through the power of craft beer. Since launching with a £60,000 crowdfund in March 2016, it has sold over almost 500,000 cans of its flagship style, Clean Water Lager, securing national on-trade distribution and listings in two national supermarkets. Along the way it has also provided access to clean drinking water for over 35,000 people across 60 projects in Malawi. Oh, and it’s super tasty! The bright blue and orange cans add a great pop of colour to any drinks table and they provide a draught option too, which is always proves popular at Appetite’s event bars.
