We have a wide range of foody gifts, wines and interesting ingredients available in the shop. Look out for our new range of house blended spices and chutneys. We can also make up interesting and innovative hampers or you can pick up a bottle of wine to have with your dinner.

Dinner Party Collection

If you are in a rush or have run out of time or maybe you just can’t be bothered, we can help you with that dinner party. We will do all the hard work and have it ready for collection or delivery in time for you to pop into the oven. You can even bring in your own dishes for us to fill (don’t worry, we won’t tell!).  From fish pies and meat casseroles to tagines and curries, we can help you impress your friends when they come for supper.

"Appetite@Rowland’s is the deli/cafe base of outside catering outfit Appetite Direct, which has built up a great reputation in the city for event catering.  Providing options for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a recent revamp was undertaken to make the deli a more enticing area for regulars and passers-by to stay and eat.  Enjoy the choice of gourmet sandwiches, soups and a range of exotic salad boxes.  Daily specials rotate, but there is always something delicious on offer.  Indulge in melt-in-the mouth, sweet and spicy lamb tagine or moreish fish curry for a more substantial lunch, or to take away for a lazy dinner.  Vegetarians are also looked after here and would be well advised to try chunky bean burgers, delicately spiced with tomato and coriander.  For something sweet go for home-made millionaire’s shortbread, chocolate cake or syrupy orange and almond cake.  The quality of the food is always high, with an emphasis on organic and local ingredients, and in recent months they have also concentrated on their ethical credentials.  This is undoubtedly one of Edinburgh’s finest takeaway options."
